Roles & Permissions
The roles in Custom One and what each one can do.
Overview
So when you invite someone to your workspace, you pick a role for them. And the role basically decides what they can see and do.
Custom One keeps this pretty simple, there are three roles.
Walkthrough
Owner. Full control. They can edit everything, invite anyone, manage billing, delete the workspace. Usually it's just the workspace creator and maybe a trusted co-founder. Treat this role carefully because owners can do things that can't be undone, like changing the plan or removing other owners.
Member. This is the collaborator role. They can build funnels, edit questions and result pages, record clips, manage integrations, export leads, invite other members. What they can't do is manage billing or delete the workspace. And this is probably the right role for most of your team.
And Guest. Read-only access. They can see funnels, view leads, watch clips, check analytics. But they can't edit anything. So use this for stakeholders, clients you want to give visibility without hands-on access, or just anyone who needs to look without touching.
To change someone's role, go to Settings, Members, click their name, and pick the new role. It's instant.
Wrap up
And um, the general rule of thumb is just start people on the lowest role that gets their job done. It's much easier to add permissions later than to deal with an accident.
