Recommendations

Learn what the Recommendations module does and how to add it, link it to questions, and personalize what each person sees.

Introduction

The Recommendations module shows a numbered list of suggestions, usually two to five items. It's a personalized module, so the list can change based on how someone answered an earlier question.

You can keep it simple and show the same list to everyone, or tailor it to one or more answers.

How to add and personalize the module

Drop the module in, set your title and items, then link it to a question if you want each person to see something different.

  • Step 1: Click the Recommendations module, or drag it onto your page to add it.
  • Step 2: Click the module to edit the main title, this stays the same for everyone.
  • Step 3: Choose how many recommendations to show, from one up to several.
  • Step 4: Fill in the recommendations if you want everyone to see the same list.
  • Step 5: Click Add Question and pick a question to link for a personalized list.
  • Step 6: Edit each variation, one per possible answer, to change the items shown.
  • Step 7: Link more questions if you want even more variations and finer personalization.

Details

The main title

The main title sits at the top of the module and never changes between people. Click the module any time to rewrite it.

Number of recommendations

You pick how many items show up. The module can display a single pick, a short list, or more, one by one in a numbered order.

Variations

When you link a question, the module creates a variation for each answer. Every variation is fully editable, so you can swap recommendations one at a time.

Link more than one question and the number of variations grows, which lets you match very specific combinations of answers.

Tip , The main title stays shared across all variations, so only the list items change per answer.
