Conditional Modules

Show a module only when it matches your visitor's answers.

Introduction

Personalized modules are modules that change what they show based on what your clients answered. They're perfect for sharing information that feels made just for each person.

You'll find them on the result page, in the list on the right.

Types of personalized modules

The list includes text cards, recommendations, pie charts, pictures, line charts, and comparison bars. We'll add more over time.

How to set up a personalized module

Each module can show one default thing for everyone, or change based on answers to your questions. Here's how to set one up.

  • Step 1: Open the result page and pick a personalized module from the list on the right.
  • Step 2: Add it to your result page.
  • Step 3: Choose a default content state, this is what shows if you don't link it to any question.
  • Step 4: To make it change per visitor, link it to a question. The module will create one version for each answer.
  • Step 5: Fill in what each version should show.

Linking to one question

When you link a module to one question, you get one variation per answer. So if the question has three answers, you'll fill in three versions of the module.

Linking to more than one question

You can also link a module to multiple questions. The module then makes one version for every mix of answers.

For example, if question A has answers 1 and 2, and question B has answers 3 and 4, you'll get four versions: 1+3, 1+4, 2+3, and 2+4.

Tip , Linking to lots of questions means lots of versions to fill in. Start with one question and add more only when you need finer control.
