Recording Plan
Learn how to plan what you'll film before you turn the camera on.
Introduction
The recording plan lives on the left side of the result page. It breaks your video into smaller parts so you know exactly what to say and to whom.
Each part is built from smaller clips that speak to different people based on their answers. You can also add your own parts on top of what's generated.
How to read your recording plan
Open the result page and look at the left side. You'll see a stack of sections, here's what each one means.
- Step 1: Find the segments on the left side of the result page. Each segment is one part of the final video your clients will get.
- Step 2: Open a segment to see its clips. Each clip talks to a different group of people based on how they answered a question.
- Step 3: Record every clip inside a segment so each client gets the version that fits them.
Details
Segments and clips
A segment is one chunk of the final video. Inside a segment are clips, one per possible answer.
For example, if the question is *"What's your primary funnel type right now?"* and there are five answers, you'll see five clips in that segment. You'd record one for webinar funnels, one for evergreen, one for VSLs, one for long-form videos, one for a simple landing page, and so on.
Adding your own segments
You can add extra segments to the plan. There are two types: intro/outro and custom.
Intro and outro
An intro or outro holds only one clip. Everybody gets the same video here, so it's great for a shared welcome or sign-off.
Custom segments
A custom segment isn't tied to a specific module. You can link it to any questions you want and speak freely.
It's perfect when you want to talk about something that isn't a visual module, like a case study, or when you want to share something on your screen while you talk.
