Notifications Tab Explained

Set up the two emails that go out to every person who finishes your quiz.

Introduction

The Notifications tab is the fifth tab in the custom builder. It controls the emails we send for you, automatically, to each lead who takes your quiz.

By default we send two: a confirmation email when someone submits, and a result email when their personalized video is ready.

How to set up your notifications

Work through the tab from top to bottom, then publish when it looks right.

  • Step 1: Open the Notifications tab in the custom builder.
  • Step 2: Turn the confirmation email on or off. It goes out the moment someone finishes the quiz, thanking them and letting them know you got their answers.
  • Step 3: Turn the result email on or off. This is the one that delivers the personalized video to your lead.
  • Step 4: For each email you keep on, set the subject line, the from name (what people see in their inbox), and the reply-to address (where replies land).
  • Step 5: Toggle SMS on if you also want to send the result video by text.
  • Step 6: Set a send delay for the result email (more on this below).
  • Step 7: Toggle on quiet hours if you want to block sending during certain times.
  • Step 8: Hit Publish to go live.

Turning emails off

You're in full control. If you'd rather send these emails from your own tool, switch off one or both. We won't send anything you've turned off.

Send delay

The delay is the gap between the video being ready and the email going out. The default is two hours, which makes it feel like you spent real time on the video.

Tip , If you pick "immediately", the email still won't land the second someone submits. Each video is built one at a time, which takes 10 to 20 minutes. We're working on making that faster.

Quiet hours

Quiet hours stop emails going out at odd times, like 3 a.m., which can feel spammy. Pick a window, and nothing sends inside it.
