Custom Sources for Tracking

Tag every lead with where they came from, so you know which channel sends your best people.

Introduction

Custom sources help you see if Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, email, or any other channel is pulling its weight. Without them, you're guessing.

Each source gives you a unique link. When someone clicks it and takes your quiz, their lead gets tagged with that source, and you'll see it in your CRM and flow chart.

You can set this up in two places: the quiz editor or the funnel dashboard.

How to add a source from the quiz editor

Open the quiz you want to track and head to the share menu.

  • Step 1: Click Share in the top right of the editor.
  • Step 2: Scroll to Source tracking at the bottom of the panel.
  • Step 3: Pick a source from the list, or add your own with a custom name.
  • Step 4: Copy the tracking link it gives you.
  • Step 5: Paste that link on the platform it's for, your Instagram bio, newsletter, QR flyer, anywhere.

How to add a source from the funnel dashboard

You can do the same thing from the dashboard if you're managing a few funnels at once.

  • Step 1: Open the funnel you want to track.
  • Step 2: Click Edit share and embed.
  • Step 3: Click Add source.
  • Step 4: Choose a preset or type a custom name.
  • Step 5: Grab the new link and use it on that channel.

Details

It's your normal quiz URL with a small tag on the end that names the source. Visitors won't notice, it works like any other link.

Where tagged leads show up

Once a lead comes in through a tracking link, you'll see the source in three spots:

  • The CRM column next to each lead
  • The analytics breakdown by channel
  • Your exports, so you can slice the data anywhere

A quick example

You're sharing the same quiz on Instagram and in your email list. Make one link tagged `instagram` and another tagged `email`. Two weeks later, you can see which channel brought in more leads, and which ones converted.

Tip , Make a new source for every place you post the link. The more specific the name, the clearer your data.
