How to Record

Learn how to record each clip that makes up your personalized video.

Introduction

Your clips get stitched together into one long video for your viewer. Record them all in one sitting so your look and voice stay the same across clips.

You'll record clips one by one. Most people speak for 20 seconds to one minute per clip. Shorter clips help viewers stay engaged.

Tip , Add an intro at the start of each clip, but skip the outro. This keeps the final video smooth when clips are joined.

For example, start clip one with *"Hey, thanks for taking this test. I'll now review your results."* Then open clip two with *"And now in this module, we can see that…"*, no goodbye at the end of clip one.

How to record a clip

Work through one clip at a time from the clip list.

  • Step 1: Select a clip. You'll see what we know about this viewer, keep their answers in mind as you speak.
  • Step 2: Open the notes panel. Write your script, or ask the AI agent to draft one for you.
  • Step 3: Click Record.
  • Step 4: Pick your camera and microphone. Your script shows on the left.
  • Step 5: Turn on the studio light if you want to look a bit sharper on camera.
  • Step 6: Use the bottom bar to show or hide your notes.
  • Step 7: Click the eye icon to turn on focus mode if you want it (see below).
  • Step 8: Move your mouse across the screen to point at what you're talking about.
  • Step 9: Click Start recording. When you're done, press Stop.
  • Step 10: Trim the start or end if you want, then click Save trim.

That's it, your first clip is recorded.

Details

Focus mode

Focus mode blurs everything on screen except the module you're talking about. It helps you stay on topic and not get pulled into other info on the page.

The viewer never sees the blur, it's only there while you record. Turn it on or off whenever you like.

Show, don't just tell

Think of each clip like a Loom video to one person. Move your mouse to point things out as you speak. That's what makes the final video feel personal.
